We had the privilege of collaborating with Kolex and DC on a digital trading card NFT project that spanned nearly three years.
Collectors could purchase themed packs at regular intervals, each one celebrating iconic DC characters and stories. We designed the original digital card case (the first release featured Batman), and then adapted and re-skinned it for every subsequent launch.
When a pack was opened on a device, a bespoke animation would play: the case would transform, deconstruct, and ultimately explode to reveal the glowing cards inside. We produced every animation across the series, along with all the supporting static assets needed for the Kolex app and website.
This was a deep, creatively rewarding collaboration that combined storytelling, motion design, and character branding at scale.
